Donut Age: America's Donut Magazine

Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes

There's been a lack of updates here for the past week because I've been monkeying with the blog design and getting myself into trouble. First, the good news: the blogroll is now powered by Blogrolling.com. Also, with the help of a pointer from Mark Bernstein and the Tinderbox community, I've randomized the tagline in the upper left corner, using Tinderbox's ^randomline export code.

The bad news is that Categories are going on vacation for a while. I think Categories are a useful feature in a blog that covers many and varied topics (and they really easy to implement using Tinderbox Agents). However, since I didn't know when I started exactly what I would want to write about, I've had to change and expand my categories several times since then, and I expect that to continue. No problem, I thought, I'll just make do something with childLinks in the page template to automatically generate a list of links to whatever category pages I have at a given time. So far it's not working, and I overwrote away the old manually-generated list of categories. I'll figure it out eventually, but for now we'll be uncategorized.

Finally, I've been trying to figure out a way to make Tinderbox export certain files to a subdirectory of the main export directory, as a precursor to reorganizing how I manage archives. If anyone knows how to do this, contact me.
